Release 3.0.115

We have just finished release number 115 which adds timelines with comments on orders and jobs, and brings bunch of fixes to the current functionality.

Timeline / comments

All of the objects within an order now contain a new widget called "Comments". Any admin can write any note regarding an order, a job, a shift or a specific position. Each comment can also contain attachments. The basic timeline enables showing all of the comments on all order objects is within the order detail, but the specific timelines are also available in the job detail - for jobs, shifts and positions.

The comments will help to track the history of the order - it is a good place to add any notes that you or your colleagues may find useful when re-opening the order later. You can typically add reasons why some changes in the order were made. The comments are not visible to the client - it is a tool for improving internal communication.

We are already working on the next steps of this feature - the goal is to track all of the changes made in the order. Basically, this means that the timeline will contain a note of any change made on any object within the order. For example, if you change a start time of a shift from 9:00 to 10:00, then the timeline will contain this exact information - meaning you and the other admins can see what changes you have made and when. By having this audit feature, the timeline will contain an entire history of the order from its creation to issuing an invoice

It will also cover some currently missing features - for example, the timeline will contain information about sign-ins and sign-outs, which means you can easily see how your workers have signed in or out of a shift.

All of the timelines will have filters so you can easily set up what kind of changes you want to see (whether to display comments, changes, or both and with order you can also choose to list the changes for an order, jobs, shifts, positions or attendances). We also have plans for adding this timeline to the worker profile so there will also be a history of the changes.

The comment part of the timeline is being released first, as the first half of the entire feature and we would be happy to hear your thoughts both on the comment part and the audit part - If you have any improvement suggestions we will gladly receive them at support@sinch.cz.

  • Notes regarding late arrivals and absences are now displayed when an admin hovers the mouse pointer over the yellow "notes" badge in the job detail:

Minor fixes

  • The errors with caching texts in the wrong language were fixed (these errors happened mainly in situations when admins have different languages and could be observed when some texts randomly appear in a different language than the one that is currently being used).
  • In the calculation of transports, the proper profession is now displayed.
  • The fields "Approved by" and "Client changed" time is no longer copied when copying an entire order.
  • Admins subscribed to the "User profile change - bank account" notification no longer receive empty notifications every time the user changes something in the profile
  • The home country setting, in agency settings, is now a selection from a list of countries instead of a plain text box.
  • A comma is now immediately changed to dot when typing VAT value manually during invoice issuing which prevents "Invalid number" errors from showing up.
  • It is now possible to enter longer Terms and Conditions in the agency themes - the limit was raised from 65,000 characters to almost 17,000,000 characters (if you manage to exceed this amount, application will tell you that the text is too long).
  • The Agency theme editor security was improved - it is no longer allowed to input custom scripts into the editor (there have been some concerns regarding automatically changed values by malware installed on an admin's computer).
